Dolphins vs Saints: Football, in Week 4, Live Stream

Dolphins vs Saints: The Miami Dolphins are two weeks into the new season, and not a whole lot has gone right. The offense has looked sluggish two weeks in a row. The pass defense has been nothing short of atrocious. The coaching staff hasn’t been able to make adjustments or light a fire under the players. About the only good thing you can say is that the rush defense has improved dramatically from last season.

Dolphins vs Saints: Last week the Dolphins had what on paper should have been a relatively easy game. There are no easy wins in the NFL, and the Dolphins found that out the hard way against the New York Jets. Josh McCown channeled his inner Joe Montana for much of the game, lighting up the Dolphins defense to the tune of 249 yards, and one touchdown. Those numbers don’t tell the full story of just how well McCown played, though. With a 78 percent completion rate and 126.3 passer rating, McCown picked apart the Dolphins secondary on the way to a comfortable victory.

Dolphins vs Saints: In what looks like a perfect storm of poor circumstances for the Dolphins, they travel across the pond to square off against the New Orleans Saints in London, England. This is technically a home game for the Dolphins, but one can hardly call it a home game when you have to travel over 4,000 miles for it. If travel wasn’t bad enough, the Dolphins porous pass defense runs up against arguably the most prolific passer of this generation in Drew Brees.

Here are three bold predictions for Dolphins vs Saints Sunday’s game.

Dolphins vs Saints: Only two games into the season, but the Dolphins defense has been somewhat a tale of Jekyll and Hyde. On one hand, the Dolphins rush defense has been much improved so far. Last season they were 30th in the league in rush defense. This season they’re an impressive fifth, giving up only 73.5 yards on the ground. They’re also sixth in the league in points allowed, giving up only 18.5 points per game. Why, then, all the talk about how bad the Dolphins defense is? The pass defense.

Dolphins vs Saints: The Dolphins pass defense has struggled mightily this season, nearly as much as the rush defense struggled last year. After two games, the Dolphins have allowed the fifth-most passing yards per game in the NFL at 278. They’ve only allowed two passing touchdowns, which is great, but that “bend but don’t break” mentality isn’t sustainable, especially in today’s pass-happy era of the NFL. Giving up chunk yards like that is just asking to get burned.
